About

I provide individual and couples therapy to adults via a telehealth platform.

I work with clients to consider the ways in which our minds and bodies offer clues about how we have been conditioned by our environments and different sources of oppression. With this understanding, I support clients to tune into their existing intuition so as to heal from hardship and live with greater awareness, peace, and compassion towards one’s self and others.

Experience

For the past 15 years I have worked as a therapist, researcher, and educator to support people to cope with stress and live with greater meaning. I use an integrative health approach, providing client-centered care that takes into consideration the physical, mental, and spiritual factors that may be causing challenges in one’s life; drawing on my training as a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200) and graduate certification in Integrative Health.

In addition to work as a psychotherapist, I consider ways to improve behavioral health on a larger scale.  As an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Social Work from 2012-2017, I developed several yoga and mindfulness interventions for substance use recovery and stress reduction. Currently I consult with local governments and programs to improve behavioral health systems and services.
