Carie Metzgar, LMSW

I provide individual therapy via a telehealth platform.

We all come with different stories and backgrounds. That is what makes us unique as individuals. My aim is to work with adult clients who struggle with everyday life hurdles such as not knowing how to communicate effectively with others about their feelings or not being able to figure out how to cope with unexpected changes such as loss of a job or a loved one.  For some, it can be just as simple as sitting down with a neutral party to help us recognize on our own, what is needed in order to move forward in life.  For others, it might be necessary to set up personalized strategies to tackle those hard to reach goals. When it comes to making decisions (big or small) that can be emotionally challenging, I can provide you resources to support you in the process.

Since 2005, my entire career has revolved around Human Services and Social Work. My experience ranges from working with children and adults diagnosed with Intellectual Disabilities in the non-profit sector to the local Department of Social Services working with vulnerable adults who have had to deal with some form of exploitation, abuse, and neglect.
