How We Help

Supervision is a collaborative partnership.  We expect you to prepare an agenda before every meeting, and you can expect me to arrive at every meeting having reviewed your agenda and prepared to discuss whatever topics you have questions about.

At our weekly telehealth meetings:

  • We review your case notes to help improve documentation and to monitor ethical compliance.

  • We review psychosocial assessments to help improve written reports and assist with diagnosis formulation.

We also are available by phone 24/7 for any emergencies that arise.

We prepare our supervisees to be ethical, well-informed, well-rounded therapists who are better able to protect themselves against potential lawsuits or board complaints. Our sessions will give you real-world counseling supervision on a broad variety of topics such as:

  • Ethical and legal issues that may arise in practice

  • Ideas to consider when practicing in various settings

  • How to network and market yourself as a counselor

  • How to do a thorough initial evaluation, give a diagnosis & write a solid treatment plan

  • Evaluation and Assessment

  • Mental Status Exam

  • Information Gathering

  • Types of Assessments

  • Diagnosis and Treatment

  • DSM-5 Disorders

  • Human Growth and Development

  • Clinical Practice and Ethics

  • Codes of Ethics

  • Professional Development

Group Supervision

We also provide group supervision for groups of up to 4 supervisees meeting twice monthly with a commitment of a minimum of 6 months. As group supervision is a shared experience, the expectation is that you will come prepared to both share your clinical needs and contribute to the learning of others in the group.
