Experience
Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse clients of various ages and backgrounds. My experience includes three years working with older adults in a nursing home setting. From older adults, I learned that it can be hard to transition from an independent life style to depending on your family, saying good-bye to not just loved ones, but to hobbies/activities, and accepting the limits of our physical bodies. I’ve spent five years in social services, working with adults facing a myriad of stressors stemming from life events such as work, finances, family dynamics, health concerns, career aspirations, and external pressures. Recognizing the weight of these burdens, I strive to provide empathetic guidance and support. As an LMSW intern, I spent two years working with adolescents. In this role, I witnessed the desire to be understood while paradoxically believing that no one understands and the desire to be unique contrasting with the desire to not be an outcast all while trying to figure out who you want to be. Adolescence is a time of profound self-discovery, and often, they simply want to be heard. Working with children twelve and under I have learned that there is so much room for growth at this age: learning to socialize, a new skill, building a parent-child relationship, and learning how to express your feelings. Throughout every stage of life, I firmly believe that prioritizing mental health is paramount. By fostering resilience and well-being, individuals can navigate life's challenges with greater ease and fulfillment.
