About

I believe that becoming a parent can be both an exciting new journey and an incredibly challenging experience at the same time. I am passionate about working with individuals while they are planning to expand their family, going through pregnancy/planning for a baby’s arrival, and through the first few years of parenthood. I am also passionate about supporting families who have experienced fertility challenges and miscarriages. I work alongside my clients to co-create a therapeutic space for them to feel seen and supported in all aspects of their lives.

I draw from my experience coaching parents and leading new parent groups, as well as my social work background, to offer a combination of supports. By spending time deeply listening to each parent’s individual story, I learn more about how I can support them holistically. Balancing relationships with new dynamics and clarifying who a parent wants to be in the next phase of their journey takes time. I strive to make the most of my time with each client by being intentional about how I adapt my style to their current needs while keeping a focus on the larger goals we’ve created together. I value a collaborative, strengths-based approach and often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy into my practice.I provide individual therapy via a telehealth platform.

Experience

I am an educator/operations specialist turned perinatal social worker. I have spent the last 15 years supporting children and families in a variety of settings. I now focus on supporting individuals and families during the perinatal time period - when planning to expand their family, going through pregnancy/planning for a baby’s arrival, and through the first few years of parenthood. I also have experience coordinating research projects and managing program evaluations for local organizations that provide services and support to parents.
